COOLSKIN – Self-contained cooling via building envelopes

Research subject of Coolskin are decentralized systems for cooling of interiors. The incident on the facade surface solar radiation is converted directly or deferred in cooling energy and delivered to the room behind. The energy supply is selfsufficient in itself and needs no energy from external sources. In the study, numerical analysis, experimental investigations in the laboratory to reality took laboratory setups and field tests are conducted under realistic conditions; together with the Institute of Thermal Engineering – Graz; University of Technology, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH (AIT Energy); Hans Höllwart – Research Center for Integral Construction AG, qpunkt GMBH, funded by the Austrian Resarch Promotion Agency (FFG 848871), 2015-18
