The apartments of the residential building are being renovated and rebuilt, and barrier-free, adaptable bathrooms, and toilets are being installed. The attic is being expanded. The eastern gangway toilets will be demolished and a passenger lift will be built, establishing barrier-free access to all floors. The roof truss remains as far as possible preserved for the sake of monument protection. The roof skin is raised in the area of the existing Eternit roofing cover to create a rear ventilation level. The eaves height remains unchanged. The rafters and supporting parts of the purlin roof are reinforced and the interspace is insulated.
The aim of the refurbishment is to preserve as much of the existing building as possible and to keep the rebuilding measures as minimal as possible. This applies in particular to windows, roofs, and façade renovation.
energy concept
The apartments are equipped with a controlled ventilation system with heat recovery.
parking
Due to the reconstruction and extension of the attic, 3 new parking spaces have to be built. These are accommodated in collective garages across all building sites.
