An old house from the 1930s in a very poor condition was renovated and expanded. The highly attractive location, with views of two different valleys, gave the opportunity to build a terrace on the southwestern corner of the building, extending beyond the slope. To make use of passive solar energy, a conservatory (which has a long tradition in this region) was added to the south of the building. The building is equipped with a hypocaust heating system.
Building Materials:
- Replacement of the entire existing basement wall with brick masonry
- Wall insulation: 10cm Styrofoam
- Attic roof insulation: 18cm mineral wool
- Installation of a new reinforced concrete ceiling and renovation of the old wooden beam ceiling.
